Cabinet painting in Melbourne transforms your kitchen, bathroom, or laundry for a fraction of the cost of a full replacement.
We paint cabinets across 20 Melbourne suburbs. We use 2-pack polyurethane or Dulux Aquanamel enamel systems that give a factory-smooth finish. Every cabinet door is removed, cleaned, sanded, primed, and sprayed or rolled with a minimum of two topcoats.
The result looks like new cabinetry. And the finish lasts 10 to 15 years with normal use.
We inspect your cabinets and discuss colour options and finishes (matt, satin, or gloss).
We remove all doors, drawers, and hardware. We label everything for easy reinstallation.
Cleaning and degreasing. Kitchen cabinets accumulate grease that paint will not stick to. We degrease every surface with sugar soap.
Sanding and priming. We sand all surfaces to create a key for the paint. Then we apply a bonding primer.
Two coats of topcoat. We spray for the smoothest finish. Brush and roller for smaller jobs.
Reinstall all doors, drawers, and hardware. Touch up any marks.
Pricing depends on the number of doors, the size of the kitchen, and the finish you choose (enamel or 2-pack polyurethane). 2-pack finishes cost more due to spray equipment and controlled application conditions.

2-pack polyurethane is the premium option. It sprays on smooth, cures hard, and resists chips and scratches better than any other finish. It costs more because it requires spray equipment and controlled conditions. It lasts 15+ years.
Enamel (Dulux Aquanamel) is a high-quality alternative. It dries to a hard, washable finish and works well for cabinets that get moderate use. It costs less than 2-pack and lasts 8 to 12 years.
For kitchens, we recommend 2-pack. For bathrooms, laundries, and wardrobes, enamel is a strong choice.
Not if prepared and painted correctly. The key is thorough degreasing, proper sanding, a bonding primer, and a quality topcoat. We use systems designed for high-traffic surfaces.
