Our Metal Painting Process

Inspection. We assess the extent of rust and surface condition.

Preparation. We remove rust with wire brushes, grinders, or chemical treatments. Heavy rust gets mechanical removal. Light surface rust gets a rust converter treatment.

Primer. We apply an anti-corrosive metal primer suited to the substrate.

Two coats of metal topcoat. We use Dulux Metalshield or equivalent products rated for exterior metal surfaces.

We remove loose rust by wire brushing or grinding, then apply a rust converter to remaining rust. Heavy corrosion gets mechanical removal back to clean metal. The primer system seals the surface against future rust.
